Model Notes

The heaters in the 431 series are all very similar.  Click on serial number range for details.

The heaters starting with the AHE-100-03S have an electronic control board and should be filled with the special Camco -100 Boiler coolant.  Different types of coolants should NEVER be mixed.

There have been many, many variations of models that were built for a specific manufacturer.  Most of the Aqua-Hot heaters that are in the Newell coaches have dual elements and have slightly different model numbers.

The Hydro-Hot 200 series and 500 series are identical and are shown in the model listing as "x".

The Hydro-Hot series models ending in "E" have an engine preheat pump.  The "M" models have engine coolant that circulates through the heater when engine is running, but no preheat pump.  Last letter in model number is shows if heater was built with pump.  Shown in the model listing as "x".  Many heaters have been upgraded to add the engine preheat pump, which would not be reflected in the model number.

Not every Aqua-Hot model uses the 'special' propylene glycol boiler coolant (Camco or Century).  Each model listing shows what 'standard' coolant should be.  If heater has label on expansion tank or heater, then that would override 'standard' coolant.  Some of the Foretravel AHE-100-02S heaters were filled with the Camco coolant.
